A stone built cottage in need of
restoration for sale in Alverangel, central Portugal. The cottage, which
is connected to mains electricity, is within walking distance to
Castelo do Bode lake,
Portugal's second largest reservoir.
The cottage is not currently connected to
mains water, however the supply is present in front of the property and
connection to this is relatively straightforward. The cottage is constructed in local stone
and the walls measure approximately 50 centimetres in width. It is set
over one floor and has a traditional style Eucalyptus beamed roof. The
cottage has five rooms, one with a concrete floor and large, traditional
Portuguese style chimney with wooden lintel. The other rooms within the
cottage all have wooden floor boards.
The cottage has a covered log store to one
side and a large stone built storage building to the other, which could
be converted to provide extra living accommodation once all the correct
permissions have been sought. Although mains water is not connected to
the property, is runs directly in front of the property. The cottage has
approximately 100 square metres of land to the rear and side.

village of Alverangel in central Portugal and is within walking distance

Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir.
Castelo do Bode lake is popular for all types of water sports
activity including swimming, skiing, sailing, canoeing and fishing.
The world heritage town of
Tomar, which has
builder's merchants, shops, cafe bars, restaurants, shops, hospital and
bus and train station, is approximately 10 minutes by car. The property
is easily accessed from Lisbon airport, which is approximately one and a
quarter hour's by car. |
