Shopping in large, out
of town retail parks is becoming more and more fashionable in Portugal
with more purpose built malls springing up all over the country.
You will find in most
large towns and cities one, if not more of these 'everything under one
roof' centres. In Porto, Lisbon and Coimbra you are spoilt for choice
with all three cities boasting more than a few malls and retail parks.
The majority of these
covered shopping centres have a supermarket as well as a reasonable
amount of high street chain stores selling clothing, home products,
books, computer equipment and of course mobile phones as well as the
obligatory food hall. Where the more recognised fast food brands battle
it out against some of the lesser known Portuguese food suppliers.
You will also find most
shopping centres in Portugal are equipped with multi-theatre cinemas. |
