The
Rio Nabão (River Nabão), is a relatively
short river in
Portugal running a course of only 66
kilometres. The river rises in
central Portugal, in the
hills surrounding the market town of Ansião.
The
Nabão was formerly called Nabanus by the Romans and
flows into the large
Rio Zêzere. The
Rio Nabão runs through the central Portugal town of
Tomar and the fast flowing waters were once used to
power factories located on the river in
Tomar.
